Sophia got in touch with us back in September 2024 during the renovation of her home. As part of the works, a new roof terrace was being installed, and she required a glass balustrade to be fitted along two elevations — the front and back of the terrace area.
Due to the existing roof structure already being waterproofed, extra care was needed during the installation process. To avoid compromising the waterproof layer, we provided a custom steel beam that was securely fixed to either side of the brick walls. This beam served as a structural base, allowing us to safely and securely mount the balustrade posts without penetrating the roof membrane.

As with all roof terrace installations, we advised using 13.5mm toughened laminated glass panels. This specification offers the necessary strength and safety while ensuring compliance with building regulations and maintaining a sleek, modern finish.
