The Client Challenge and Project Breif:
Jonathan from Clapham, South London got in touch with me back in September 2024 as he was in the process of renovating his property and had a rooftop terrace area built and required a new glass balustrade privacy screen. Due to building regulations the glass balustrade had to be 1.8m in height and the glass panels had to be opaque. The reason for this is because you’re not allowed to look over other peoples properties.
Jonathan also required the glass balustrade steelwork to be powder coated. He opted for anthracite grey to match his windows. We also had to install a new 100x100mm box section steel to support the front elevation of the glass balustrade
Due to updated building regulations, the glass specification had to be toughened and laminated.
