Glass panel staircase – Grays, Essex

Wagna from Grays, Essex got in touch with me in October 2023 to supply and install his glass panels for the recently renovated staircase that he had done.

The Client Challenge and Project Breif:

Wagna from Grays, Essex got in touch with me in October 2023 to supply and install his glass panels for the recently renovated staircase that he had done. As with all glass staircase panels I always advise to use 10mm toughened glass. The reason for this is because toughened glass is much stronger than regular glass. In the event of breakage, it shatters into small, relatively harmless fragments instead of sharp shards. This significantly reduces the risk of injury, making it a safer option for staircase panels. As you can see from the pictures of this glass staircase project, we’re able to have the glass panels made to any shape of your staircase openings. This is done by first templating the staircase opening with a hardwood board. Then the glass panels are securely fitted using stainless steel glass clamps

The Visage Glass & Steel Solution:

At Visage Glass and Steel we offer a wide range of different glass staircase designs. From installing glass infill panels to your newly built staircase, or completely renovating your old timber staircase, by removing the old timber handrails, base rails and timber spindles. We can replace the old timber newel posts with brand new ones. Any type of timber you require from oak to pine. We also specialise in frameless glass panel staircases.
Choosing a glass panel staircase offers numerous benefits, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal. Glass panel staircases exude a modern and contemporary aesthetic. They contribute to an open and airy feel in the space, enhancing the overall look of the interior. Glass panel staircases complement and enhance other architectural features in a home. They seamlessly integrate with different materials, such as wood or metal, contributing to a cohesive design.

Client Testimonial

We couldn’t be more happy with the job Joe did installing our new glass panels. We were finally moving back into our home after all the building work we had done renovating the whole house and were worried about the oprinings in our staircase because we have a small child. But Joe turned the glass around in a short time and got the glass panels fitted before we all moved in. We would highly recommend Joe for your glass staircase work.
